Local storage, no collection

Sanad Tab replaces your new tab with a personal dashboard. Your manually selected city, prayer calculation settings, preferences, shortcuts and tasks are stored in your browser using chrome.storage.local. They are not sent to the developer or an extension server. The extension does not synchronize them with your Google account.

There are no accounts, analytics, advertising or tracking. We do not collect personal information or browsing history, request geolocation, or read website content. Prayer times are calculated locally from bundled city coordinates. All code, fonts and backgrounds are packaged with the extension; no remote code is loaded.

Search and external navigation

Submitting a search opens your chosen provider (Google, Bing or DuckDuckGo), which receives your query and browser connection under its own privacy policy. Clicking a shortcut visits that website directly. These visits do not go through developer servers. Sanad Tab does not store search queries or browsing history.

Permission and deletion

The storage permission saves local settings, tasks and shortcuts. The manifest replaces the new tab page. No browsing history, tabs, geolocation, website access or notification permissions are requested. To delete local data, open Settings → Clear my data, or uninstall the extension. Independent device backups are subject to your system’s settings.

Calculated prayer times

Times use the MIT-licensed Adhan library and may differ from local schedules. Choose a suitable method and consult your local mosque. The Hijri date uses the browser’s Umm al-Qura calendar and may differ from moon sightings. There are no background alerts or audio adhan.

Policy website and web preview

When you visit the Sanad website or web preview, the hosting provider receives the usual connection information needed to serve pages, such as your network address and browser type. Preview preferences, tasks and shortcuts are stored in your browser’s localStorage and are not sent to the developer by the preview code. Using the installed extension does not require visiting this website.
